Provide cyber-discipline education support tied to DoD service, award institutional grants for faculty, curricula, laboratories, and research, and appoint eligible scholarship graduates to cyber positions under the statutory hiring route. Eligibility gate
Scholarships require a qualifying degree or certificate program and a service agreement under §2200a; the minimum obligation is three-fourths of the supported degree-pursuit period, in addition to other obligations.
Apply academic-progress, eligible-expense, repayment, and funding-allocation rules; at least half of scholarship funds and the stated associate-degree share have specified institutional restrictions.
Institutional grants under §2200b have the four enumerated purposes.
The special appointment route applies to successful scholarship graduates who owe DoD service; competitive conversion requires two years of satisfactory substantially continuous service.
